Please be informed that a man aboard United Airlines (UA) flight 663 from Reagan National Airport (DCA), Washington DC to Denver International Airport (DIA), Colorado, on April 7 was subdued by federal air marshals after trying to light his shoes on fire.

It was not immediately clear why the passenger would want to attack the flight, but the FBI and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating. Expect heightened security at all US airports.
