Volcanic eruption in Iceland causes shutdown of Scottish airports and flight cancellations on other European routes on 15 April.

Dear Swire Travel Corporate Client,

Please be informed that Volcanic ash spreading from Iceland on 15 April has caused all flights in and out of Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick to be suspended from midday. In Scotland all airports are shut and most others around the UK have cancelled or suspended flights. Also, other affected locations in Europe will include Denmark, Frankfurt, Iceland, Norway and Paris.

Swire Travel would like to advise all our clients who are currently in Europe or going to travel to Europe to contact their carriers to reconfirm all your flights prior to leaving for the airport. Our clients currently in Europe should minimize their movements outside and remain indoors.

Should you require any clarification or require further information regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to call your designated travel consultant.

We would be grateful if you could disseminate the above information to all your colleagues.

Thank you very much for your kind attention and your valued patronage.
