French air traffic controllers to strike for 48 hours early 13-15 Jan 10

Dear Corporate Customers, Please be advised that four French labor unions representing, among others, air traffic controllers and other aviation workers, have called for a strike to begin early 13 Jan 10 and last for 48 hours. As a result, hundreds of flights to and from airports across France will be delayed and/or cancelled. Long-haul flights will most likely be less affected but some significant delays are possible. The disruptions could be further exacerbated by heavy rain and snowfall forecast for 13-15 Jan 10.

We would suggest that the affected passengers check the latest flight details with the respective airline to reconfirm all flight plans if flying to or out of France. We will be re-booking the affected travellers on alternative flights but we would be very grateful if you could also contact us to reconfirm your latest flight arrangement to avoid oversight on our part.

In light of the short time frame we are currently working under, we would be very grateful for your kind understanding and cooperation in attending to this concern as soon as you are able. In the meantime, for emergency assistance, please call your designated travel consultants.
